Okay, so I know there was a documentary about Brian, a shortened version of which appeared (I think) on the Biography channel. However...I've never gotten to see it. Does anyone know if there is a DVD of the full documentary for sale anywhere?

To Miss Goddess or anyone else, I haven't been able to locate a copy of A&E's Biography about Brian. I did; however, order & receive the 2-part BBC Arena documentary "The Brian Epstein Story." This segment aired on the BBC during the holiday season of 1998, and is available on DVD. The only site offering the documentary is Videobeat.com. Their price-tag was $30, and the quality is decent. The only downside is that the DVD doesn't work on all DVD players. After trying for several minutes with my Insignia player, I finally popped the disc into my Sony Play-Station 2 and had no further trouble. "The Brain Epstein Story" contains interviews with many people: Lonnie Trimble (Brian's houseman), Marianne Faithfull, Peter Brown (controversial), Alistair Taylor, PAUL, and many others. The nice part about this segment is that the BBC crew actually went to both Liverpool & London. They placed Brain's associates in the exact locations these events took shape. One of my favorite parts: when Alistair Taylor (carrying an umbrella in the rain) takes us from the old NEMS Whitechapel spot to the where the Cavern once stood. The documentary is about 2-and-a-half hours in length, and a wonderful feast for anyone who wants an "in-depth" look at Eppy. Another recommendation is "Brain Epstein: Inside the 5Th Beatle" (60 minutes), which features interviews with Alistair Taylor, Sid Bernstein (the American promoter who secured Shea Stadium), Julia Baird, and Allan Williams (who claims to be the Beatles 1st manager). The doc. also features wonderful vintage footage of Brian. This disc is available from Netflix to rent and from Amazon.com for purchase. Hope you find & enjoy. :-*

BRIAN EPSTEIN STORY PART 1 & 2 1998 BRIAN EPSTEIN STORY PART ONE 1998 U.K. documentary. "The Sun Will Shine Tomorrow." Documentary on the man who managed the Beatles and many other Mersey Beat artists. Brian went from having aspirations of becoming a dress designer to managing NEMS record department to dominating the music scene in 1963 Britain. Awesome not-seen '63 backstage interview footage of Gerry and the Pacemakers, Billy J. Kramer, Cilla Black, Tommy Quickly, Sounds Incorporated, etc. Johnny Gustafson of The Big Three explains why Brian fired them. Paul McCartney candidly discusses John and Brian's "vacation to Spain." Interviews include: Paul McCartney, Gerry Marsden, Johnny Gustafson, Billy J. Kramer, Maureen Cleave, Robert Stigwood, George Martin, Marianne Faithful, Alistair Taylor, Peter Brown, Sid Bernstein, and others. The Brian Epstein Story! BRIAN EPSTEIN STORY PART TWO 1998 U.K. documentary. "Tomorrow Never Knows." Rare footage in Abbey Road studios of Mersey Beat artists in action. Gerry Marsden was upset that Brian spent so much time with the Beatles. Paul McCartney goes into fascinating detail about Bob Dylan turning the Beatles and Brian onto marijuana for the first time. Incredible WOR-FM radio interview by Murray the "K" with a very stoned Brian. Interviews include: Paul McCartney, Gerry Marsden, Johnny Gustafson, Billy J. Kramer, Maureen Cleave, Robert Stigwood, George Martin, Marianne Faithful, Joe Flannery, Alistair Taylor, Peter Brown, Sid Bernstein, Nat Weiss and others. The Brian Epstein Story!
