How about Paul Giamatti, he certainly has just the right amount of star quality, and I could see him actually physically and mentally making this his signature performance. How about changing the title of the movie to "Baby Your a Rich Man" based on the Beatle song about Brian?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not a big movie-watcher, but I'm tempted to rent out a movie or two of his. Which would you suggest, that might show his adaptability to the role? Has Mr. Giamatti ever done a Brit? (Errmmm, I didn't mean that the way it sounded...)
Also, to my knowledge, no Beatle has ever out-and-out admitted that "Baby, You're A Rich Man" ... or any other Beatle song, including "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" ... was actually written for or about Brian. 'Twas OTHER people who put the words in their mouths and claimed they were Brian-inspired songs.
Unless somebody can come up with direct quotes from a Beatle himself...?
