Oy, the things that our Eppy did for his Boys!

The Beatles themselves have inferred at times that they would never have become world-famous (especially in America, the land of crazy hype) if Brian Epstein had not swallowed his pride and forced himself to make nice-nice with the worst of the media, promoters, and disc jockeys. He found himself doing some things for the sake of his Boys which he found personally distasteful and somewhat undignified (such as tolerating Murray The K).
For one thing, Eppy did not WANT a "Brian Epstein Fan Club," but it was demanded of him. So ~ humble, embarrassed and under pressure, he obliged, to prevent any fan disappointment ~ because, after all, he was representing his Boys.
By the same token, I am not fond of it, but have been forcing myself to do whatever I can, here and elsewhere on the internet, to promote Brian into the world-famous Cleveland "Rock and Roll" Hall of Fame (in reality a $RECORDING INDUSTRY$ Hall of Fame) ~ because, without a display dedicated to, and for,The Man Who Made The Beatles, Brian will continue to be deprived of this show of respect that the world observes.
I know it's stupid, but unfortunately the world does judge the value of everyone who was ever involved with recorded music by noting if they were inducted into that place. In some cases, recognition by the Hall has proven to be the STARTING point to other, better ways of cementing your place in music history.
It is true Brian resigned himself to doing many things for his Boys that he found unpleasant, things that he would do for his Boys only, things that he would never have done otherwise for anyone else.
Because it is a cockeyed world we live in, and sometimes it takes cockeyed methods to succeed.
So I do this. Maybe, just maybe, if the RRHoF inducted him, Brian might finally get his posthumous MBE. And a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And who knows what else....
By all rights, the name Epstein must always be right up there, wherever and whenever the names Starr, Harrison, McCartney and Lennon are honoured.
Now THAT would Rock, Hall!
