Hey,
Was wondering if anyone purchased "Can't Buy Me Love: The Beatles, Britain, and America" by Jonathan Gould? I suppose Gould's approach was to describe where The Fab Four received their composition inspirations??? The customer reviews on Amazon.com appear to be somewhat vague. I even read a comment, in which a new Beatles fan believes Yoko caused most of the trouble. True; her presence did contribute to the band's split. Now; more than ever, I agree with Eppylover that Brian's passing was "The straw that broke the camel's back." I had NO idea how essential Eppy was to the band, upon first becoming interested in their music. I hope this upcoming movie will serve as a wonderful introduction to newcomers. Yoko was not the sole cause!!! There are many more insights/trivia that these new Beatle fans are NOT aware of!!! Getting back to the book: if anyone has read it, please post a reply here or on Amazon.com. Of course; we'd all really like to know if BRIAN is mentioned & if there are any nice photos of him?
