Hey, I looked for a thread (already in existence) about the Ed Sullivan show, but couldn't seem to find it. Oh well! I was watching a 9-part interview with/about Mr. Rogers, when I found this interview listed on the TVLEGENDS account as well. Vince Calandra also has some words to share about Brian's presence; which Sullivan didn't care for too much. But; we can be pleased, because the one single text comment about this video reads, "Epstein was such a great manager." ;D Enjoy everybody.

This is a Great Post as it is a rare interview talking about Brian Epstein before the Beatles became well known in the United States. To have Ed Sullivan's talent coordinator come forward from that early era to recall his experiences of that pivotal time, is historical, as there has not been very many interviews recorded describing personal encounters with Brian Epstein. It is quite clear that Brian was nervous and very protective/concerned for his 'Boys' and wanted them to be given the best treatment. This is a great interview. Thanks for the post.

My pleasure, Yerblues Everybody knows how hard it is to find even the smallest new bit of material on Brian. Although the comments made (in regard to Eppy & Sullivan's meeting) may not be the most positive; it's one more story that we have access to. Obviously; the Beatles & Brian did something right, because they were continuously invited back for future appearances! ;D My dream is that more folks (as Alistair Taylor & Nat Weiss have already) will come forward in the future; with more pleasant tales of Brian. Also; there were pictures taken of Brian (with the 'Boys' & Sullivan) on that fateful February day in 1964. I believe I have a couple in books, but it would be nice if someone would re-print blow-ups and publish them.
