Sir Paul McCartney on THE VIEW Wednesday, January 14, 2009. abc.com Monday, January 12, 2009 Barbara Walters and the other ladies of ABC's television show, The View, announced on Monday's show (1-12-09) that Paul McCartney would be appearing on The View this Wednesday, January 14 (11 AM EST). They said that he would be performing as well. As of this writing, the View's official website has not been updated showing McCartney as a guest for Wednesday. With the current critical acclaim that McCartney's new album, Electric Arguments by The Fireman, is receiving, it seems likely that he will perform songs to promote that album. Another interesting fact is that Barbara Walters is second cousins with Paul McCartney's girlfriend, Nancy Shevell. Barbara Walters last interviewed Paul McCartney when he was married to Heather Mills. The last part of The View recorded on Monday, January 12, 2009. Toward the end of the video is the announcement that Paul McCartney will be on The View on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. And he is getting plenty of help from the former Beatle. Speaking on U.S. TV talk show "The View" on Wednesday (14Jan09), McCartney reveals, "My son James plays guitar. We're making a new album with him." It's not the first time father and son have collaborated. James has co-written a number of his dad's solo songs, and joined him on tour back in 2005. James also performed on his late mother Linda McCartney's solo album Wide Prairie, which was released after her death in 1998. www.pr-inside.com/mccartney-writes-new-album-with-son-r1007371.htm

MACCA WANTS RINGO Yahoo! music news (Thursday January 15, 2009 12:40 AM) Paul McCartney has admitted he would "love" to reunite with Ringo Starr onstage in the near future. The two surviving members of The Beatles last played live together in the '90s and also worked alongside George Harrison on the Anthology collection. Appearing on US TV this week, Sir Macca said the pair were eager to hook-up again soon, if their schedules allow. "Yeah I would love to. We do things from time to time together - it doesn't always come up", he told The View. "Sometimes he'll be on tour when I'm not. But we don't rule it out, it'd be great. He's a great drummer and we're used to each other." McCartney also told the audience he thought the drummer was "ballsy" for refusing to sign any more Fab Four memorabilia. uk.news.launch.yahoo.com/dyna/article.html?a=/090115/340/idxtj.html&e=l_news_dmPaul McCartney Maintains Two Personas www.live5news.com/Global/story.asp?S=9673218The View's McCartney Tears www.myparkmag.co.uk/articles/celebrity/the-views-mccartney-tears.html
