I'm trying to find Brian Epstein's interview with Murray the K where Brian raves about Jimi Hendrix. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, First off; welcome to the forum! It's amazing how many people love the 'Boys,' yet have no idea about Eppy. And yes; Brian did sit down with the DJ in February of 1967. Did you have a copy of the recording on VHS? I'm sorry to say I don't have an Internet link to the Murray the K interview. Eppylover & I were discussing this very topic a while back (she has all kinds of Epstein know-how), and her comment was, "I want the whole interview - DARN IT!!!" I would more than imagine this recording still exists in its entirety. The question is, "Has anyone posted it on-line, and where (if anyplace) can it be found?" Hopefully; these insights will help you a bit: 1) There's a quote from Brian's dear friend, Nat Weiss, in Debbie Geller's biography, In My Life: The Brian Epstein Story. Pp 141-42: "Now, if anyone hears that interview you'll notice that the first ten minutes are sort of, 'Yes, 'No, ' No.' Brian is hardly vocal. As it goes on, and he gets more into himself, you have the old Brian Epstein talking about the future of the Beatles, and it becomes very positive when he's out of the influence of the drugs..." 2) In 1998, The BBC televised a two-part documentary on their Arena series called, "The Brian Epstein Story." During Part 2, "Tomorrow Never Knows," an excerpt of the interview (with Brian discussing Hendrix) is played. This documentary is available through the Videobeat.com for $29.00. I ordered it a while back (when it was originally offered on a single disc), and the special covers Brian's life very well. Details about the upcoming "Fifth Beatle" are still under wraps at this time. I can't wait to all these 'influential' people brought to life again!!! Sorry that I couldn't offer more info. Eppylover might be able to provide you with additional details. I'm only sorry to say that she hasn't been able to visit this site as much recently (see "Note From Christine ~ Nov. 2008" on the news ticker). But; feel free to 'bookmark' this question for a future post. Again; welcome to the movie forum. You can also scroll down to the 'Info Center/Forum Statistics' section and click on '25 most recent posts' for all the latest chatter. Feel free to send me a response as well - I'm glad to help.
