The BEATLES studio mastermind SIR GEORGE MARTIN has topped a new online poll to find the best producer of all time.
Inspired by the death of music mogul Jerry Wexler last week (ends15Aug08), Rolling Stone editors
asked readers to vote for the best knob-twiddlers online over the weekend (16-17Aug08).
Martin was the survey's clear winner, with Def Jam founder Rick Rubin coming in second and Phil Spector third.
