If things go like usual and the copyright owners have a hissy-fit, this will soon be deleted from YouTube ~ but until then, please enjoy the BBC Arena series version of The Brian Epstein Story (probably off the boot DVD) posted in five parts, uploaded by a member from Lima, Peru who calls himself demebeat14 ~ and whoa, it's overdubbed in Spanish! ( Sorry about the ad next to the video ~ but apparently that's how Proboards pays Google/YouTube for the privilege of embedding their stuff) Part 1Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 I do not understand the language at all, but for some reason the Spanish soundtrack makes me look at the visuals a wee bit differently ~~ and I can grab nicer screencaps from this YouTube vid than I was able to with my DVD and TV screen+digital camera efforts. The above photo, owned by Nat Weiss, was taken a week or so before Brian's death Enjoy

Thanks for the post, Eppylover! I am glad you were able to find "The Brian Epstein Story" in Spanish as I tried to locate it previously. It finally got posted. Hopefully, it does not get removed.
Also, please keep adding more photos of Brian and his family. Would you have a photo of Brian's nephew, Henry Brian Epstein?

Ahhhhh ~~ I can't lie ~ I do have a couple of informal snapshots, but I made a promise I wouldn't ever show them. I'm always happy to share images of any Epstein relatives or friends who have already showed a public face, such as with this film, or in a public internet page, etc. Henry is a very private person, and I fully respect that. (He's not bad-looking, either) ♥

Thanks Eppylover. I was not sure whether you had a photo of Henry or not. Or if you did, whether for some reason it was not revealed. I am glad you answered that question and that you do have his photo. I had a hunch there was some privacy involved as I could not find anything much about him anywhere (internet or outside of it) other than that he is Brian Epstein's nephew, who gave his support for his uncle to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Actually, I can't blame him for wanting to keep his privacy. After what his uncle had gone through being well-known with lack of privacy and sleep, I would not want him to go through anything similar to it. Thanks again.

I don't know if it goes against Forum policy for me to openly state this, but I'm sharing the abridged (I know, I know) version of The Brian Epstein Story on emule, as well as the early, rather rare BBC doc called The Mersey Sound. This is the original source of interviews with the Beatles & Brian that would be recycled over and over in subsequent documentaries. I'm still searching for the complete 2-part Brian Epstein Story, but I am looking for an English language copy.

I guess since I'm wearing the Administrator's hat, I shall judge the sharing of bootleg info as being within policy! *applause* The only ones who can overrule me will be Vivek/Jonathan, or Proboards ~ and I won't complain because this forum is indeed all for Vivek. He da man. And without Proboards we couldn't do this as beautifully as we do. They are a private company, after all, and we would not wish to hurt them. So if I get asked to cease & desist, that's okay, and I'll understand. Do you mean the version bastardized by the A&E Biography show? If so, that's great! Nice to be able to have this standard of comparison available ~ to confirm what those A&E asshats did to the original BBC Arena production. For those unfamiliar with emule, as I confess to be, HERE is a rundown of this Adware-free p2p sharing application site. NOTE: If you have any problems with emule, it comes from your own ISP (provider such as Comcast or AT&T/Yahoo, etc.) using blockages, slowdowns and bandwidth throttling to hinder or prevent your ability to download from bootleg sites. I'm still searching for the complete 2-part Brian Epstein Story, but I am looking for an English language copy. { THIS } is where I, and a couple of my flisters, bought ours. It is the complete 2-part dvd, as broadcast on BBC, but without the network bumpers and adverts. You're welcome! ;D

Yes, I do believe that's it. I can burn a copy and send it out if you want a copy directly in your hands to verify. I obtained mine after searching daily for "Brian Epstein" on emule. Which helped me to obtain an episode of Hullaballoo that he hosted as well. I love emule.
I also have what seems to be a direct-to-disc production, I have not been able to find out anything about it, so maybe you can illuminate me. It's called "Brian Epstein: Inside The Fifth Beatle." It also says, "Unauthorized." Released by Passport Video. Purchased from ebay.
Yes, many thanks! I'll grab one as a gift to self for the impending doom of another birthday LOL.

Brian Epstein: Inside The Fifth Beatle Oh! definitely a must-have. See { HERE } That's so lovely that you have DVD-burning capabilities! I don't even know if I'll have the internet soon. After the divorce, and if I ever find a job where I can afford more than the cheapest apartment (food I can get from what relatives are always tossing out, and I'll be crossing my fingers on the health care *shuddder*), then I'll think about acquiring more Eppystuff and swapping things with people. *sigh* I feel exquisitely lucky that, a few years back (when NOBODY was Eppified online but me), I was able to grab all three Hullabaloo dvd's (double-sided discs, yet!) for no more than $12. apiece (Half.com was one source). I see they're now going for at least $175. each, WHEN you can find 'em. Whoa!

I can commiserate. I've been flying by the seat of my pants for a few years, actually, and like you am uncertain regarding the future. I'll hold you in my thoughts & prayers, eppylover.
That is indeed a majestic score. Are there good sources for The Mersey Sound? My copy is complete and clean but very small - 320x240 - and I am always searching for an upgrade. That one is priceless. A fave.
Oh, and thanks for all the info on Inside The Fifth Beatle! :-D

The Mersey Sound ~ the only place I've seen it ~ other than in those transient YouTube segments ~ is, once again, Video Beat. No prob with Inside The Fifth Beatle ~ it does make a good companion piece to The Brian Epstein Story. In fact, if there were a way to translate Coleman's The Man Who Made The Beatles into motion picture form, I would love to do it! It would have to be a series, like with Star Wars ~ hahaa. No skimping with the Eppiness!

Welcome stemac! I am gobsmacked (as I understand they say over there) by this music video, and sure hope you don't mind that I took the liberty of re-embedding the link in UBBC code so the vid would show up. ((Sorry about the attached advert ~ Proboards does that automatically and I cannot prevent it.)) Unfortunately, the usual HTML (the code that you input, with the <> and such as YouTube provides) doesn't work on forums ~ to my understanding at least. We are not superduper techies, we are admirers of the world-changing Mr Epstein of the 60's. This song should be in the movie, IMHO! The voice is gorgeous and the music is so very appropriate to this type of film. IMHO.And.....If this is the Henry Epstein I THINK it is, I had NO clue he possessed musical talent...consider me awed and dazzled. I'm already dizzy; I might as well be dazzled too

Results of some googling: As an interesting footnote to the above YouTube vid, here's an Article on the icLiverpool.co.uk site from March 1, 2001, giving some background on the source of the Henry song that inspired the video.
