Mick Jagger turned 65 years old on Saturday, July 26, 2008 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICK JAGGER! bostonherald.com By Ira Kantor Saturday, July 26, 2008 What a drag it is getting old. Mick Jagger sang it, and now he’s living it. The rock ’n’ roll survivor turns 65 today, and even though he’s reached the retirement age of most mere mortals, the Rolling Stone has yet to stop giving his fans satisfaction. Despite an estimated wealth of $463 million, Jagger joins the ranks of other acclaimed geriatrics such as Neil Diamond and Paul McCartney who continue to release albums and tour the world. Like these icons, the knighted Sir Mick has remained mum for years about when he’ll officially retire from performing, according to the New York Daily News. “I’m sure it will happen one day,” he said. “It hasn’t happened at the moment. We don’t look at the clouds of tomorrow through the sunshine of today.” Stones ax man and fellow Glimmer Twin Keith Richards turns 65 in December - also defying popular expectations after a notoriously hard-rockin’ life. david-holmes.blogspot.com/2008/07/happy-birthday-mick-jagger.html
