The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour Memories is an upbeat rockumentary featuring the vivid memories of those who witnessed the making of the cult Beatle movie, The Magical Mystery Tour, in 1967 and features a celebrity cast along with anecdotal stories and unseen 8mm home movie footage, as well as eye-witness accounts from fans, on-lookers and the cast of the movie. Featuring Dame Peggy Spencer (choreographer), Neil Innes (Bonzo Dog Do Da Band), Tony Barrow (Beatles press officer and close friend of Sir Paul McCartney), Mike McCartney (Paul McCartney’s brother), Freda Kelly (principle secretary to the Beatles Fan Club), Spencer Davis (Spencer Davis Group), Tony Bramwell (Beatles road manager), and Victor Spinetti (actor and close friend of John Lennon) sharing their memories with Victor supplying a fascinating commentary to the film. “This is a happy, upbeat film” comments David Lambert, producer and director of Arthouse Pictures, who produced the movie. “Probably the last time the fab four were all still getting along.” Keith Badman (author and Beatles expert) said “I have seen the rough cut screener and can’t wait to see the finished programme. It is fantastic.” This film is a must have for all Beatles fans worldwide and an opportunity to look back fondly at the heady days of the swinging 60s. Thanks for the update, Yerblues. ;D I see that Amazon has the release date set for September 30th. Of course; I prefer to rent from Netflix whenever possible. They will have it available as well. Thanks for the UK link to the pics. Hopefully; this DVD will include some worthwhile interviews. One of my favorite documentaries is Beatles: The First U.S. Visit. For Eppylover; Brian Epstein: Inside the Fifth Beatle & The Brian Epstein Story.

Yeah, well, just let me know if there is any Eppy mention or footage when you see it. I've never been able to look at MMT until, probably less than a year ago, I saw part of it on YouTube ~ but I still couldn't sit through the whole thing. All I can think of when I see anything relating to MMT is Brian. As we all know, it was the first project the boys undertook immediately after Brian died, and I know it's a stupid way to feel, but it just grinds me the way they can look so jolly happy so soon after. I certainly was still floating around in a miserable daze for a few months, and I never even met him! They even postponed having their memorial service for him until mid-October because they needed to do MMT first. Fine. Call me petty and spiteful, but I do get a self-satisfied charge out of the knowledge that MMT was a total, embarrassment. It frickin' BOMBED. Yes. Ah, sorry. Forgive me for channelling Queenie again.

Thanks for the reminder syelar108. Yes, I have noticed the released date has been pushed to September 30th for The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour Memories DVD release at a lot of websites selling it, including Barnes & Noble. It looks like we would have to wait until the LAST DAY of September for anyone to get it. The Beatles, the Magical Mystery Rock, and the West Malling Air Station location where the Beatles performed. I think it is interesting that Paul McCartney's brother, Mike, will be featured in it. For those who are not aware, Paul McCartney DOES have a brother. There has been comments by people who have seen Mike's photograph saying Paul and Mike do not look alike and questioned whether they are cousins. Indeed, they are brothers. HELLO. Mike had married twice. His first marriage to Angela Fishwick produced three girls. His second marriage to Rowena Home produced three boys.

Eppylover, I hope you've had an opportunity to look at the e-mail written by 'Your Nat?' I also wanted to say that I added the "All Need is Love" series to my Netflix list; so I could watch the Queenie interview for you.
If you meet someone with the name 'Eppy,' give em a hug! ;D

Thanks Eppylover for adding the links about Michael McCartney (McGear) so the public can learn more about him. Yes, while he was with The Scaffold trio (from 1964-1977) along with Roger McGough and John Gorman, they did comedy, music, and even poetry. They were known for "Thank U Very Much" composed by McGear; "Lily the Pink" a traditional song about Lydia Pinkham. and "Liverpool Lou" recorded in 1974 with Wings.
