"Sid Bernstein Presents..." the highly anticipated Documentary Film about the Legendary Beatles Promoter may finally Rock & Roll once ancillary funds have been successfully raised for its completion.
Co-Directors and Co-Producers, Jason Ressler and Evan Strome, are stepping up efforts to get this film onto the screen. They are now bringing their appeal to the fan based public, particularly to Music and Film aficionados to donate "whatever you can afford $5, $10, $100..." in order to offset the high costs of both the Music licensing rights and other necessary post production expenses.
Of course, Sid has a rich history as an impresario in the Music Business, yet he is mostly recognized for introducing The Beatles to America at Carnegie Hall and then twice at Shea Stadium. Following that, he then single handedly engineered The British Invasion bringing us first The Rolling Stones, and then The Kinks, The Dave Clark Five, Herman's Hermits, and The Moody Blues, as well as the later introduction of The Young Rascals, and many more noted acts to the prolific Music Scene of the 1960's.
Bernstein's story makes for a fascinating and unexpected view of the successes and the perils inherent in the fast-paced and unpredictable world of Rock & Roll. The film also offers the last live interviews of two giants in the Music world, James Brown and Tito Puente. "Without your help the story of one of the leaders of the Rock & Roll Revolution (and so much more) will be lost forever," wrote Strome and Ressler.
The filmmakers urge everyone to join this effort and also "help spread the word." All donations are tax deductible. For information on contributing to this effort and for a video preview please visit www.sidbernsteinpresents.com.
