"The Beatles' Biggest Secrets" is a piece of trash.

Yeah; in very POOR taste!!! Tabloid trash!!! Bob Spitz' biography gave me the same feeling. The one positive of this documentary is all the footage it contains. I'd almost suggest muting the thing, and playing the Beatles "Love" or "1" album along with it instead. Did you watch Part 5 of the "Biggest Secrets" Eppylover? There is an interview with Brian at 8:40, that was apparently done while he growing the 'sideburns!' You can't hear what Bri. is saying though, because of the darn "Biggest Secrets" narrator. Do you know where else this interview with Eppy might be available? Is it on a DVD?

Yes, it is out on DVD, syelar108, but I wouldn't buy it. It really isn't worth it even though numerous well known people were interviewed from the Beatles camp. I didn't take anything on the video seriously. Some aspects of it was interesting. I was more interested in the Beatles part but whatever said just went out the other ear; a form of entertainment. Hence, I removed it.

Hey Yerblues, Actually; I appreciated the link to the "Biggest Secrets" documentary. Some of the footage isn't often used in other Beatle specials. Alistair Taylor is always a treat to listen to! The question I was asking Eppylover was in regard to the interview/footage with Brian at 8:40 in Part 5 of the documentary. Does this segment (probably filmed in early 1967?) exist on a DVD or elsewhere? I would love to hear what Brian commented on. You can tell that he was in the process of growing those 'brief' sideburns. ;D There's no doubt that Brian & the Beatles weren't completely innocent during their tours and daily lives. What I don't like are books & DVDs that 'only' focus on those negative aspects. We should all celebrate the 5's positive contributions to the world! Brian deserves that recognition most of all! If given the choice: I would recommend Ray Coleman's "The Man Who Made the Beatles" and Debbie Geller's "In My Life: The Brian Epstein Story" over Bob Spitz' "The Beatles." I did click on the links to "The Real John Lennon Story," and enjoyed that a lot more. Thank you.

As to when the film was made, I would probably have to purchase the DVD as I have not seen any reviews on the movie that mentions the time period. You may be correct that it was taken in early 1967, if not late 1966.
Also, have you had a chance to look at "John & George Receive Plaque - LOVE Celebration?" It's on Page 3 under "Beatles." You may find it interesting. ;D
