Want to hear the funniest part? Almost ALL of the pics seen on that "Liverpool" Spanish language board are on the internet
(in the formats shown there), courtesy of ME ~
~either scanned from books and magazines ~
~or ones I have taken the liberty of copying from obscure sites onto my hard drive and
trying to improve ~
~ originally uploaded and posted in various places (mostly in LJ's Beatlepics community).
Heck, I even find Brians here 'n there that I had screencapped from old Hullabaloo, The First US Visit, and other dvd's
by aiming my digital camera at the TV screen!
Of course, I would know which are mine all over the 'net, since I tend to crop, clarify and clean up to the best of my limited ability,
and otherwise personalize my Brian pics.
Heck, she even posted the digital pic of a page out of my own Brian scrapbook that I assembled in my 60's teen years.
If people want proof, I can take another pic ~ of me holding the darn thing. Hahaa
Some of the pics were actually
hotlinked from my own image services such as Photobucket, Flickr, Buzznet ~ they still are ~
example being some in
this post ~ right-click on a pic, hit "Properties" and look at the url ~ if part of it says eppylover, christine6417,
brianepstein, courvoisierandcarbitral, or azuretoad, my image server's bandwidth is being used.
I'm not complaining; I do want the Brianage to be promoted at any cost ~ however, it would be polite for her to reciprocate by
providing a link to this Fifth Beatle Movie forum,
fifthbeatle.proboards50.com, or the main movie site
fifthbeatlemovie.com,
or something to that effect. I don't want to contact her, though, because it might piss her off and she might remove the pics.
We don't want that to happen.
Brian is the only thing that counts.
Naming the eppylover herself is not what I want ~ however, aiming people to places where more Brian info can be found is
very important if you're gonna nick my pics. This year the emphasis is on the movie. In the last few years the emphasis was
on the archives of the Brian LJ Communities. If there is a next year for me, I don't know what it will be, but it will indeed be Brian-ish.
This lady on the Spanish language forum,
Magill/Lil/Nancy (currently known as "lucksy" but formerly known as "Penny" etc)
is smart enough (not to mention nice enough), at least in her most recent posts, to save and use them from
her own Photobucket,
rather than hotlinking them directly from the eppylover's pic posts.
I kind of amuses me that all the pics she had hotlinked earlier from my friend Trini are now blank boxes, because Trini has
since deleted them from her Photobucket. This may be why Magill/Lil/Nancy now saves posts from HER own Photobucket,
ahaa. Hotlinking Is Not Forever.
Let me comment on a few of the pics on that site which were
hotlinked from my image server services ~
Here's one I digi-camera'ed (before I owned a scanner) and then "photoshopped" the background from:
To show you what I mean, the photographer, Bob Whitaker, originally placed two images of himself in the background
on the above pic, and at the time I took out the double Whitakers that was the only form of that pose you could find:
Except for the one with the feathers. This (and the other "feather" pic) are the photos that convinced Brian that he MUST hire
Whitaker to be an official Beatles photographer! (These days, Bob Whitaker is known mostly for the Beatles "Butcher" pics.)
Anyway, another one on Liverpool.es site was the 8x10 press photo I had never seen before,
that I was lucky enough to have been able to "steal" off eBay ~
of Bri on the stage of his Saville Theatre, leaning against a piano.
You can see the framed version right above my head in the (blatantly narcissistic) "Brian & me" banner
that eventually appears in the "newsfader" near the top of this forum's Main Page.
I'll go now, I've blabbered on enough.
Perhaps if I find enough time I can go back to some of those old, old Beatlepics Eppyspams
and try to convert and translate them from HTML into UBBC for this forum.
<i>That's not an easy task.</i>
Oops! that was HTML. Here's what I meant to say:
That's not an easy task. LOL!
And there is no program that will do that for you.
I've searched and searched.
