Larry Kane at the Franklin Institute in March 2010. LARRY KANE WORKING ON A THIRD BOOK ABOUT THE BEATLESJohn Lennon Examiner Shelley Germeaux June 6, 2010 3:57 PM Larry is working on a third Beatles book. While it is in process and largely under wraps, I can tell you that this book will be about the childhoods of the Fab Four in Liverpool. Larry has been doing extensive research for the book, including a recent trip to Liverpool where he visited the Beatles childhood homes and schools, as well as interviewing many people associated with that time period. Based on the introduction, which I had the pleasure of hearing over the phone while talking to Mr. Kane, Beatles fans, especially Americans, are about to get quite a history lesson. "The book is about their ascent from childhood through the year 1963 when they soared to fame," Larry said, "and just before they came to America. The key years are about 1956 thru 1963." We will keep you posted as publication date draws nearer. Mr. Kane is currently the author of two Beatles books, Ticket to Ride, chronicling his experience of traveling with the Beatles in 1964-65, and Lennon Revealed, an analysis of the man John Lennon became before his death in 1980. www.examiner.com/x-35173-John-Lennon-Examiner~y2010m6d6-Larry-Kane-working-on-a-third-book-about--Beatles-childhoods
