Neil Aspinall, Apple Executive BEATLES' FINANCIER NEIL ASPINALL LEAVES £7M IN WILL From The Times July 28, 2008 Hollye Blades Neil Aspinall, the finance expert behind the Beatles, has left nearly £7 million to his family in his will. Mr Aspinall, 66, a father of five who ran the group’s business empire for 40 years, died of lung cancer in March. As a young man he earned £1 an hour fending off screaming girls and driving the band across the North West in their battered blue Commer van. Probate records show that he left a net estate of £6,947,818. His fortune has been left in trust with the income going to his wife, Suzy, for her lifetime. Mr. Aspinall, who was a schoolfriend of Paul McCartney and George Harrison at the Liverpool Institute for Boys, never betrayed the trust of the Beatles by talking about his years with them.
